The Desert Botanical Garden offers the world's finest collection of arid plants from deserts of the world in a unique outdoor setting. The Garden has more than 50,000 desert plants on display throughout five thematic trails that illustrate topics such as conservation, desert living, plants and people of the Sonoran Desert, and desert wildflowers. Visit the Garden and enjoy specialized tours, special events, seasonal exhibits, concerts, family activities, Gertrude's restaurant, Patio Café and the Garden's gift and plant shop.

  1. Desert Botanical Garden Flashlight Tours

    Date:

    Thursday and Saturday nights join in on something different. Flashlight tours are a sensory adventure where you will see, hear and feel the desert night. The self-paced stroll along the main trail to more than 10 discovery stations is perfect for families and children of all ages. Don't forget to bring your flashlight to see all the various discovery stations including the Desert Tortoise Discovery Station and Tarantula and Scorpion Discovery Station.

  2. Great Pumpkin Festival

    Find that special pumpkin at the Desert Botanical Garden during this fun festival. Take a hayride to the Garden’s pumpkin patch, where children 12 and under can choose their own free pumpkin. Get lost in the Amazing Hay Bale Maze, visit with adorable farm animals in the petting zoo, enjoy lively Country and Western entertainment and carnival-style games in the Garden's spacious Events Plaza, and much more!

To keep the day sizzlin’, enjoy tunes spun by DJ Seduce and performances of Latin, Brazilian, and Spanish dance by Stilo Dance Company, Axe Folclorico and Yumi La Rosa live on Boppart Courtyard. Have dinner at the Garden with family and friends, and stroll each path with a warm cup of cider or cocoa.
